What is Matzerpiez

This all started a few years ago, I wanted to use my bike to go skiing, but couldn't find anything on the market to attach skis to a bike (that'd handle thrashing on a Squamish trail)

To solve this problem, I made some ski mounts, took them out for a rip, and had a number of people reach out hoping to buy some!

That inspired me to start this business 🙂

Matzerpiez is based in Squamish BC Canada 🇨🇦

Who am I

My name is Jack Casey, originally from Vancouver and currently living in Squamish

I've previously worked as a ski patroller and instructor, and am actively working towards a ski guide cert

Outside of the mountains, I work as a software developer and have a background in computer systems administration

Equipment

My goal is to provide niche ski gear whether it's made by me, or distributed from bulk

Everything built by Matzerpiez is made in Canada, with no compromises 🍁

Bulk products distributed are made in, or sourced from Canadian distributors when possible

Services

Matzerpiez provides install, hosting and maintenance for custom mountain telemetry (Webcams and Wx stations)

These suit a few use cases like avalanche forecasting, generating marketing material and data collection

Matzerpiez also hosts public webcams (available here) for community use
